British Heli team training

2008 has finally dawned and the campaign to become the new World Helicopter Champions has been cranked up to a new level as the year of the World Championship is finally upon us.

After the success of securing a non-medal 4th place in Rouen in 2005, the team started its build-up back in 2006, supported by Hayward Aviation to ensure a positive attempt to bring the gold medal back to the UK. That would be a very acceptable start to the second century of helicopter flight.

The team is drawn from the core of the squad who flew in Rouen in 2005. It consists of team Captain David Monks and co-pilot Jonathan Penny (current holders of the British Helicopter Club Open Class Title; David is also the first private pilot to captain an aircraft in this event...
