Venture Ski was founded by Peter Duke and Mark Livsey in 2005. “We had compatible skills, but different strengths,” says Mark, “which made it a perfect partnership.”

Mark came from a background of motor racing and marketing, having worked for Williams in Formula One, and before that in Hong Kong. Peter had a background in accountancy, and had been the Finance Director of an IT company. Both were serious skiers, and interested in furthering the potential of skiing in as many ways as possible. “Skiing allows you to challenge yourself and discover places you would not otherwise be able to reach,” explains Mark. “Heli-skiing is the ultimate in that, allowing you to go places that only a helicopter can reach, and forcing you to find your own way back: it is the ultimate challenge.”...
