EC225 Simulator

HeliSim was started in February 2002, in Marignane, France (where Eurocopter is also based) with the object of training pilots more cheaply and efficiently than was possible in the real helicopter. Since its inauguration, HeliSim has annually trained 2,400 pilots from 62 countries, performing 10,000 flight hours per year, and has a customer base of 115 operators from all over the world. The EC225 simulator was officially inaugurated in October this year.

At the opening, Guy Dabadie, CEO of HeliSim, said, “Our strategy is in tune with Eurocopter’s reinforced commitment to improving flight safety by providing simulated alternatives to real flight... due to the increasing number of EC225s in the oil and gas market, we have installed the first EC225 FFS (full flight simulation, ie full movement) at our HeliSim facility.
