House and Helicopter

Seventy percent of all the helicopter flying in India is done from Juhu Aerodrome north of Mumbai (previously known as Bombay). This is mostly out to the oil rigs off the west coast of the country.

Juhu airfield was the first civil airport in India, it was opened in 1928 and was then called the Vile Parle Flying Club. It was Bombay’s major airport until 1948, when the government decided that it was too small for an international airport and opened Santa Cruz instead...
