Marion Melbourn stood on the heli-pad at Elstree as I shut down G-OHCP, poured me a glass of champagne and remarked on my scruffy appearance. I had just flown in from Troyes, the last leg of a journey which had seen me leave Elstree four weeks and 105 flying hours before, bound for Stapleford Tawney and then on to Athens.
