HAI HeliExpo 2010

HAI HeliExpo 2010 was held in Houston. The mood at the show was much more upbeat than last year, even though the civilian business market is still in the doldrums. Some helicopter markets, however, have not been damaged by the recession, principally the military market, which is booming thanks to the many conflicts across the globe. Police and EMS markets have also kept their strength, while a few utility operators spoke of their hope for the resurgence of the heavy lifting market, and Erickson AirCrane, which has started a recovery section for disaster areas, spoke of some growth in that area...
