Eurocopter in Aberdeen
The Lord Provost of Aberdeen, opening the new EC225 simulator and service centre, said that “this city understands North Sea oil rigs. In the last forty years Aberdeen has become a by-word for the oil industry.” He told the gathered aviation audience that he was extremely pleased to have Eurocopter in Aberdeen, and that their presence was “helping with the safety aspect and, in their work with windfarms, the ecology.”
